With this new branding of the piaspeak.com website,  Tyrone has chosen a series of

recordings, poems, collaborations and pending blog topics that he hopes will reflect and betray, a lifetime of learning at his chosen instrument and the cultivation of an authentic and original musical voice.  He also begins, in this moment in time, to distinguish his brand as a instructor for beginning and intermediate piano and theory students.

Recently charged by the playwright Frank Bridgewater with sharing his dedication and passion for the pianoforte with others; he is pressing to perform more - but it's still just his pinky toenail tho', that's in the reservoir of the North Eastern US jazz market.  He manages anxiety with piano performance, early childhood and recent traumas - that this public revealing, rebukes in the spirit and intention of the creative artist he is and the mastery that is becoming.  Because piano was his first love, Tyrone's expression at the piano is always an act of love, and sharing that vulnerability with others, for him, is an unnerving  act at best - and he's been told, selfish.  "That voice, is not about you" was the quote.

Jazz improvisationalist is the mantra Tyrone has continually sought to evoke.  Through a life of alternative study he has honed a certain technical discipline, studied classical, gospel, contemporary pop, and particularly jazz genre precepts and theory - all in practiced effort towards mastery of the instrument.  So come join him on this next challenge in developing artistry and performance mastery!
